In this role you'll make an impact by:

• Providing North American marketplace technical leadership for improving the total product offerings of plant based ingredients, plant based meat analog products, and plant based dairy alternative products.

• Implementing enzymatic technology in customers' products and processes

• Quickly identifying solutions for troubleshooting customer formulation and processing challenges

• Optimizing texture and taste profiles of plant based meat and dairy alternative formulations and processes, validating the work through benchtop and pilot scale trials at comanufacturers or partners.

• Sharing key learnings on enzyme applications in plant based ingredient production and plant based foods through webinars and professional society seminars and trade shows, as well as during customer visits.

• Being a key resource and partner to sales, marketing, market/consumer insights and technical teams, exhibiting outstanding collaboration skills.

Potentially relevant experience:

• Minimum BS degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline with at least 6 years of experience researching food materials -or- MS degree + 2 years experience -or- Ph.D. Job title will be Scientist or Senior Scientist.

• Interest in working towards commercial goals within a science-oriented organization

• Experience with plant-based food and ingredient applications and familiarity with opportunity areas

• Experience in experimental science, including food science, food processing, chemical analysis, and statistics/data analysis proven by your ability to problem solve and offer innovative and viable solutions.

• Experience working in laboratory, pilot scale and manufacturing plant environments, as well as being productive in meeting and desktop environments.

• Demonstrated skills in building customer relationships and serving customer technical service needs in collaboration with sales account managers.

• Excellence in presenting technical findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Expected salary range: $90,000 - $115,000
